Celtic 3 Stuttgart 1 February 20th 2003 at Celtic Park |
|
This was a very successful trip. Paul Mc Cool's first trip in many years brought good fortune to the bhoys! Paul wore his lucky hat and despite having a bet on a 2 - 1 correct score, he was by no means disappointed. Jimmy
Boyle, as usual, had all necessary arrangements made and everything went
like clockwork. A big thanks to Jimmy and the Rossescsc Committee. Thanks
also to our driver Feda O'Donnell for navigating successfully through
the road diversions in Glasgow. Best Celtic hat was worn by Ownie Mc Garvey!! Best Celtic top was worn by a Stuttgart supporter thanks to an exchange by Josie Jo!! Best young supporter was undoubtedly Darren Sweeney!! Most unlucky poker player was Joe Sweeney!! Best Singers were Paul & Maurice!! Best at organising a late night Indian meal was Big Frank!! It was great to see Big Frank back to form. ======================================================== Latest News...Celtic v Liverpool in UEFA Cup quarter final...Thursday 27th Feb. At one stage Celtic led by 5-1 on aggregate and all the Rosses Supporters in Sharkey's Bar (and the couple in Stuttgart) would have been very comfortable with the progress of the match. However the German side came back into the match by hitting the net three times and the post!! Nervous moments for the Celtic supporters!! Reports from Sharkey's suggest that Josie Joe Boyle spent the last 10 minutes of the match pacing around the bar!! Josie Joe and Michael Sharkey may be heading to Anfield for the next match. ========================================================= Celtic v Rangers ......Saturday 8th March 2003 Three car loads of Rosses Celtic Supporters will be heading to Celtic Park for the old firm game this coming weekend. The supporters will leave on Friday 7th March and travel to Belfast International Airport and then fly on to Glasgow airport. They will spend two nights in the Tulip Inn (formerly known as "The Days' Inn") in Glasgow. John Mc Cann, Conal Duffy, Josie Joe Boyle and Paddy Bhraine will travel together in the "Northern Alliance" car. Rumours suggest that John Mc Cann may use the old "Six County" number plates for the trip. Jimmy Boyle and friends will travel in the "South Side of Glasgow" car. John Rodgers along with C.U. D Byrne and friends will travel together. There is rumour to suggest that a large black car will be used for the journey. Good Luck and a safe journey to all those travelling. ==================================================================================== Slan agus adh mor |
